Welcome to Your Unique Brain
I am striving to creatively connect the Bodies, Minds and Heart of people living with a Traumatic Brain Injury. Together we work with what is wholesome, unique and special about ourselves.
Are you dealing with Sensory Sensitivity?

If this is you, then you know the debilitating consequences this challenge has on your life; physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, professionally and financially.
Your nervous system and brain have difficulties processing and organizing information. Neurofatigue may be the reason that everything is just too much, too fast, too loud, too busy. Most of the time you feel overwhelmed and feel strained.
You wonder if you are crazy because one day you feel fine and the next day you are experiencing brain fog. You may be having difficulties functioning at home, let alone in complex environments like at a supermarket, at school or at work.
Do you have days where: You Miss Yourself – the person you were before your life changed? Do you remember feeling vibrant, active, engaged, energetic, professional and intelligent but can’t get to that level of being anymore?
If you are like me, this can cause self-loathing and loss of confidence. Frustration is common due to a lack of understanding by others who think you look just fine – and you know you are not! The most powerful words that someone could say to you, especially when dealing with an invisible disability are, “I believe you!”
Do you long to relate to people who “get what it is like” to live with these challenges?
The question we must ask ourselves is: Am I able to take the hand that has been dealt out to me and allow it to make me a better person? Am I getting bitter or better?
Here you will be inspired and encouraged by other people’s success. Confidence is built by focusing on your strengths and not weaknesses and by being content with both your strength and struggles. Here you will learn to change your perspective by witnessing others’ journey, sharing resources, receiving support and compassion.
One of the goals is to get to a place of higher functioning by slowing down.
Increase the quality of your life, by slowing down!
This is more than an educational forum. It is also a place to find meaning from the challenges we face, to find acceptance, and to fully take advantage of that one life we have been given.
I foresee unexpected benefits and possible life changing experiences for us by connecting here.
You are not alone.
